Hydrating Agents for Wrinkle Filling

Natural hydrating agents are natural skin proteins that have the ability to bind water molecules, thus hydrating and providing volume to the skin.

With age, the skin loses its ability to produce these agents, as well as collagen and elastin. At the same time, the remaining agents also change in quality. The result of their loss is the formation of deep wrinkles, especially in the nasolabial folds (between the nose and mouth), the appearance of so-called “smoker’s lines” above the upper lip, and “marionette lines” below the lips. In highly expressive individuals, deep wrinkles also form on the forehead and next to the eyes, known as “crow’s feet.”

Hydrating agents are synthetically created in the laboratory and are used as implants (injectables) in aesthetic dermatology to correct these wrinkles:

  • Correcting nasolabial wrinkles
  • Naturally enhancing the cheekbones with hydrating agents
  • Correcting the contour of the face and the jawline and chin
  • Improving the contour and volume of the lips
  • Correcting “smoker’s lines” that form even in non-smokers on the upper lip
  • Correcting dark circles under the eyes
  • Correcting thin lips
  • Deep and strong hydration of the skin when used in mesotherapy formulations. (Mesotherapy involves injecting hydrating agents just below the surface of the epidermis in two or three sessions, with intervals of 20-30 days.)
  • Indirectly helping to eliminate wrinkles, improve elasticity, and provide a more youthful appearance to the skin on the neck, upper lip, entire face, décolletage, and the dorsal surface of the hands.

Application of Hydrating Agents:

  • Done after applying an anesthetic cream with lidocaine, and it takes 15 to 20 minutes.
  • A fine insulin needle is used to make the application painless.
  • The results are immediately visible.
  • The effect lasts for one year to 18 months, depending on the area.
  • Suitable for any age when the appearance of wrinkles starts to bother you. There is no specific age to start hydrating treatments. At a younger age, the treatment is done to enhance certain facial features, such as lips or cheekbones.
  • At an older age, the treatment is done to restore volume loss. There are no restrictions.
  • Adding volume to thin lips is done at a young age.
  • For an ideal result, injectable facial treatments and hydrating agents can be combined
